Grofit Flower Seeds is a subsidiary of Meshek Hai Grofit Agricultural Cooperative, Ltd. It is owned by Kibbutz Grofit, located in the Southern Arava Valley in Israel. All sales, contacts, research, production, and shipping are done here in Israel.
Production
The seeds are produced mainly in our fields in the Arava valley, where the arid desert climate allows for year-round seed production, and contributes to the high quality of the seeds. Our seeds are grown with the latest agro-technology and the production fields are isolated from other types and controlled routinely for genetic purity. The seeds are allowed to mature and dry under the natural sunny conditions. We are well equipped with modern laboratories, machinery, and seed processing tools. We possess the know-how behind every product we feature.
Our seed production is inspected and certified by the Israeli Plant Protection Inspection Service (PPIS) which issues international Phytosanitry Certificates.
Research and Development
The goal of our breeding program is to produce an array of plant types and colors that meet the market needs. Our researchers search locally and throughout the world to find new traits in both wild and cultivated species to meet the evolving market requirements. Behind each new release, there are years of breeding, selections and testing by our R&D team not only in our trial plots, but also in those of commercial growers. We employ strict standards to ensure the quality of our seeds and to provide our customers with a product they can rely upon.
